Trading helps hosts organise private dinner parties. This page explains the information used to run invitations, guest lists, dietary planning and venue search.

Information we hold

Depending on how you use Trading, this can include account details, names, email addresses, telephone numbers, invitations and replies, dinner and venue details, menu choices, dietary requirements and food dislikes.

How we use it

We use this information to operate the service: managing host accounts, maintaining guest lists, sending invitations and reminders, collecting replies, recording menu choices and helping hosts plan an event. Hosts can only access the guests and dinners assigned to their own account; administrators have access needed to support and administer the service.

Venue search

When a host searches for a restaurant, Trading may send the venue search term, postcode or area to Foursquare Places. We do not send guest names, contact details, dietary information or private feedback to Foursquare for venue search.

Private post-event feedback

Feedback is kept out of host-facing and administrator-facing views. It is intended only for aggregated planning signals, such as improving future menu or guest-list suggestions. Individual feedback is not displayed to hosts or administrators.

Security and sharing

Access is restricted to signed-in accounts with the appropriate role. We do not sell guest contact details. We only share data with service providers where necessary to operate a requested feature, such as delivering an email invitation or returning venue-search results.

Your choices

You can ask the host who invited you to correct your details or remove you from future invitations. Account holders can update the information they manage through Trading. For privacy requests, please contact the Trading administrator.
